Jesus, Music and alittle about John's life |
Living in the land where the wind blows and the people are about as kind as you’d find south of Winnipeg is frustrating at times, but overall, I think it’s rewarding. I sometimes look back on my decision to come to SDSU and think that I could have gone to a school in a big city or in the mountains. But I often find myself looking past that and instead, into the great joy and comfort I’ve found here. South Dakota, you’re a pretty neat place, and I thank you for that.
First day in the clinic … Oh boy, here we go.
Not having the greatest day. But hey, take a listen to this!
Don’t really want to study for this patho quiz tomorrow. However, it is quite fascinating! Ugh sooo tiered …
bookreadingbookworm asked: Do you know a kid in the engineering program with the last name Trowbridge? One of my students' older brother goes to SDSU. Small world! And you should check out the funny commercial I posted.
Ha, that was awesome. I enjoyed that. I do know him! Jacob’s his name. He comes to navs and he was in my bible study during my freshmen year! Small world indeed!
Interesting thing about this weather isn’t the cold, the wind or the incredible humidity, it’s actually the ridiculous changes in temp that can occur. One day it’s 40 degrees out, the next day, it’s below 0. What is going on with this. I walked outside today to go to classes and I realized that I was going to freeze on my 15 min walk across campus. It was cold. My ears still feel tingly …
I had a few thoughts today. Since my early days, I have always been wrestling with the thought of what to do with my life. Yes, I understand that nursing is a great career field, there are tons of places to go and that I’ll be happy with it. Thank you for shoving those preconcieved thoughts down my throat world.
I’m not saying that I’m not thankful for where I am in my life or what I have accomplished. That’s probably one of the greatest things I’ve learned these past few weeks. Thankfulness. Oh how thankful I am for great friends, my health and a place to call home. But somehow, my heart still seems to strive for more. Maybe more isn’t the correct word; how about inspiring-ly different. Again and again music comes to mind and again and again I feel frustrated with the fact that it’s going no where. There once was a point in my life where music, art and life seemed so important. I use the word seemed because if it was truly so important, I would have willingly followed my dreams into the abyss of this God forsaken world.
I like to call this one the class Wizard. Am I a Harry Potter nerd? Yes. Am I awesome? Yes. Boom roasted, check please, awh yea!
Got a new hat today. Pretty neat and totally worth the 8 bucks. Also, my car is making funny noises. Not good. Hopefully I can get it home before it completely dies.
PS - It was almost 40 degrees in brookings today. WOW
Amazing sunset at Lifelight fest!!
